About Me - My Biography

I was raised in Brisbane and spoilt to be able to attend Brisbane Girls Grammar School.  It really helped to set my belief in my ability to achieve anything.  My career started in Sydney doing some computer programming, but quickly changed roles to sales support for a large international software company (Lotus Development).

I started my own business in Melbourne when my son was born, supplying certified instructors into training organisations to teach technical courses in Lotus Notes/Domino.  Around the training, I also developed some Notes applications for a number of clients in the construction, manufacturing, sales and oil refining industries.

In 1998, I rebranded the company as Palm Tree Learning – the vision was to help people learn software tools from wherever they are.. even from under Palm Tree! There was some on-line teaching back in those early days, but life financial choices kept sending me out contracting. :-)

Fast forward to 2023, my husband and I are now living on the Gold Coast, and Palm Tree Learning is relaunching to focus on helping teams to work together.  All the experience in the “groupware” product Lotus Notes, and more recent experience with Microsoft365 products, I’m excited to work with businesses and individuals in this area.
