Hello Lovelies!

I’m a Decor Consultant and my Business is called –  Decor With Marina.

I help those who live in rental homes to solve their decorating dilemmas and teach them how to create a gorgeous space that reflects their style and personality.

I have created a self-paced online course, that offers temporary solutions with maximum impact… and I guide you with affordable decorating and design tips, so that you can have a home you truly love!

 

 

About Me - My Biography

Hi!  So lovely to meet you… grab a cuppa and enjoy the ramble☕️

I live in a lovely place in QLD called Toowoomba. We wanted a ‘tree-change’ and found it here with it’s gorgeous trees and cafes.

I have been a home decor consultant for many years and a home renter for 30 years.  So l am now in the process of putting my knowledge and skills into an online course specifically aimed towards those who are renting their home.

Creating a beautiful home unique to your families needs and style, using temporary solutions, while still being able to get your bond back at the end of your lease, is what this course will teach you.

In the meantime, I am learning all the tech along the way!

My Expertise

Decorating Homes is a true passion of mine that has grown with time.

I’ve learned from acquiring knowledge through many avenues…  making mistakes and having successes, listening well and observing others.  So here are some things that have made me an ‘expert’ in the field of Home Decorating…

As a Decor Consultant I provided practical,  stylish storage solutions with fresh, comfortable and beautiful aesthetics for my clients. I repurposed furniture and used the world around me as my inspiration… to give my clients exactly what they wanted.

As a Professional Cleaner I got to understand the need for ‘less is more’ when keeping a home spit-spot… and it was interesting to see how others lived and what was important to them.

As a Homemaker and a Home Renter of 30 years myself, I understand that a home changes with the years… it starts as your first nest and then it becomes all about the children  and as they grow and change, so do the needs of the family… with hobbies and friends and work and school etc… then it becomes an empty nest where other interests begin to thrive. A home is a haven from the rest of the noisy world and it should flow and change as you do throughout the years.

Simplicity is the key to a beautiful home, and beautiful aesthetics with practical design, is the key to Simplicity.

As a Home-Schooling mum I learned the art of teaching, keeping it simple, organization and patience :)

I’ve spent almost 30 years in Sales and Customer Service and have learned to listen to what people need and want… even when they couldn’t express it clearly.

And lastly, I love to learn, I love doing the research, the DIY and the experimenting. Home Decorating is a passion and it comes easy to me.

All of these experiences have brought me to where I am today…

Teaching what I love and know best, through a beautiful online course to help others make their house a home.
