- Embryologist, Fertility Educator and Infertility Advocate
Health & Wellbeing
My Connection Statement
I help women and couples who are feeling over-whelmed whilst trying to conceive to feel calm, confident and in control of their fertility. I do this through educational resources, online content, support programs and 1:1 professional expert fertility support packages.
I am completely independent and not affiliated with any Doctors or IVF clinics and I provide support and guidance based on my 15+ years working as a clinical embryologist, within IVF clinics in Australia, Scandinavia, Europe and the UK.
About Me - My Biography
My name is Lucy Lines. I am an Embryologist turned Fertility Educator and Advocate, creator of Two Lines Fertility, wife, and mother of 2 little people.
I help women and couples who are trying to conceive to create the families they are dreaming of, and (if they need it) I help them to understand the overwhelming field of assisted conception.
I come backed with over 20 years experience in the fertility field – 12 years as a clinical embryologist and global customer support embryologist, 5 years in GP education and 5 years working one on one with women and couples, supporting their individual fertility journeys.
Over all those years I have held literally millions of embryos and helped to create thousands of families!
When I’m not supporting women to become Mums (and men to be Dads), you’ll usually find me having a coffee with friends, acting as pre-school entertainment coordinator for my 5yo or sleeping (which is my super-power!)
My Expertise
I started my career, (and the new Millenium!) at Monash IVF in Melbourne working as a trainee clinical embryologist in 2000. I spent the following 7 years working in various clinics throughout Australia, the UK and Scandinavia before moving over to become a ‘global clinical support embryologist’ for a company in Sweden that manufacture products specifically for IVF clinics (like culture media, and pipettes and dishes and tubes etc etc). I was responsible for clinics in Southern Germany and Austria and attended many global meetings and conferences in an effort to gather knowledge about increasing pregnancy rates and success rates in IVF clinics.
In 2011, my family and I moved back to Australia and I took a job at Melbourne IVF in their GP education department where I worked with Melbourne specialists and GPs to help guide and support their patients who were having difficulty with conception.
In 2017, at aged 44, with a newborn son, and after being made redundant from my role at Melbourne IVF, I started Two Lines Fertility, in an effort to get back to supporting the individuals who were trying to conceive rather than ensure the shareholder dividends.
I provide these women and couples with the independent support, education and information that they need to make informed decisions about their family building plans, free from the worry that they are being sold ‘snake oil’
