About Me - My Biography
Over the past few years I’ve realised that my overwhelming raison d’etre is to help – and my business Short Stay Network does this by solving accommodation problems, creating solutions, lending a listening ear, and above all providing extraordinary customer service.
Short Stay Network operates as a short stay accommodation booking agency. More than just another online booking site (like Stayz, booking.com or AirBnB), we can actually assist people to find the right accommodation because we know the properties and the owners. We find out what you need, and give you solutions.
Online booking is easy as you can filter your requirements, and we turn an otherwise time consuming and painful process into one simple phone call or email where we do the searching for you and provide a shortlist – all you have to do is pick one.Our range includes everything from granny flats to apartments to pet friendly family homes, and is growing every week.
We particularly focus on helping executive assistants, personal assistants and small business owners who are already busy and really don’t have time to spend hours searching for the right accommodation. Our properties are mainly focused in South East Queensland right now, but will be expanding Australiawide.
I don’t see my business as ‘work’ – I love what I do! And it allows me the luxury of working from home, seeing my 2 grown up children, and taking photos of my cats. Coffee, wine, and good food also feature as my friends will tell you!
My Expertise
From a tapestry of careers before I was 40 (public service, hospitality, insurance, direct selling, freight forwarding) I collected an immense range of varied skills, and I admit I love being a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, and an all rounder!
Since being involved in short stay accommodation, I’ve run over 30 properties in Brisbane and accumulated a wealth of knowledge on what works and what doesn’t. I love working with the property owners and creating a great community which supports them, and also allows me access to some ‘off market’ opportunities for my clients.
I even admit to being a bit of a techie, and more than a little bit of a geek!
