My Connection Statement

My name is Libby Staggs and I’m the founder and Principal consultant of Sustainable Business Matters. I work one on one with overwhelmed owners of small to medium sized furniture manufacturers and retailers with their sustainability strategy by assisting them with product certification, modern slavery due diligence and environmental management system implementation.

About Me - My Biography

I’m a committed advocate for sustainable business, with a passion for bringing positive change to industry and the clients I have the pleasure of working with.

I’m actively involved in the Eco-labelling and ‘green’ community, providing feedback on the development of Environmental and Social Standards. I was a participant on the Green Building Councils of Australia’s expert reference panel for human rights in 2019/20.

I love to learn, and that’s a good thing, because sustainability requirements are in constant flux, I’m always reading, attending face to face training or online. I feel privileged to be in a position where I have influence with my community and clients to improve the working conditions of vulnerable workers and bring awareness and action around tackling climate change.

My partner – I’m so incredibly lucky, I’ve got such a lovely, funny and kind partner

My friends, – I go for quality, not quantity and its important to me to be a good, kind supportive friend

My framily – I don’t always get it right, but I’m always trying to be a good daughter, friend and cousin

My fitness – I love boxing in the park, working out and go for a run in the park!
