About Me - My Biography

I have worked in various roles within the Travel Industry since 1991, ranging from specialist niche travel companies to wholesalers and retail travel agencies in Australia.

I  work closely with my clients to ensure each aspect of your journey is memorable for all the right reasons. I understand that not everybody can make it to their local travel agent so I am happy to work around your busy lifestyle to help plan your getaway at a convenient time that suits you.

I manage the booking process from start to finish and I know what it takes to get a family out the door on a relaxing holiday. I love getting families to experience the culture and full immersion of whatever destination they’re traveling to.

When I’m not busy designing itineraries I spend my time exploring new and exciting travel destinations and delving into the nitty gritty of WHY you should visit a particular country.

Rather than selling cookie-cutter itineraries straight from a supplier’s brochure, I enjoy finding unique experiences and adding a personal touch to each itinerary once I’ve met with my clients in person and understand what you’d like to get out of your time away.

Any seasoned traveler knows that traveling means encountering the unexpected. Sometimes that’s half the fun but at other times you just want to give up and come home.

I am there 24/7 to assist with any hiccups or challenges along the way. Your luggage has lost you; you missed your connecting flight, or the weather is about to turn catastrophic. No problem. I can help find a solution. I’m only an email or phone call away at any time.

Additionally, when you are ready to book that dream holiday, I will travel to you wherever you are and sit with you to discuss all the options for the best holidays of your life!

To make your holidays unforgettable I work with people from all over the world to get their unique insight, personal knowledge, and travel tips for different locations.

My Passions

 

Travel is the great love of my life (just ask my husband).

If I hear someone say the word “travel” from across the room, I will be there like a rocket ready to talk about travel.  I’m one of the lucky ones whose work is also their passion, and you know when that happens, it’s no longer work!

I get just as excited about every trip my clients go on as if it were me about to get on that plane, train, or boat. I can’t help myself!

I don’t just sit behind a desk making travel bookings on the phone for my clients. I’m an active traveler taking every chance I can to see and do the new and old things the world has to offer.

I have a Travel Bucket list just like you do. When we meet to plan your holiday, we’ll talk about the holiday you are about to take but also your dream holiday and those bucket list holidays.

Individual itineraries – I plan detailed itineraries for a trip of a lifetime. I use reputable operators to provide a well-planned itinerary suited to your needs.

Groups –  organise true small group tours and I guarantee that no group will be larger than 16. Each itinerary is carefully researched to suit the needs and interests of the group travelling. With every tour, fellow travellers meet each other before the tour so that you are travelling with people with whom you are already familiar.

Small Ship CruisingIn line with my philosophy of sharing travel with small groups of people, I am keen to introduce my clients to small ship cruising. I have experienced an expedition cruise in Alaska and shared amazing experiences of kayaking with whales and watching Glaciers carve!
