About Me - My Biography


I am the founder of Virtual Elves, a small boutique outsourcing agency in Sydney. I have worked with many businesses helping them to develop the strategies, methods and tools for effective outsourcing.  I show them how, with outsourcing, they can scale, grow and be profitable. I am known for my ability to see how businesses can operate in a more efficient way, and for walking business owners through the process. I use my own business growth, mistakes and lessons learnt to give hands-on practical strategies that can be implemented immediately.

I started Virtual Elves over 12 years ago with just myself at the helm and now boast an international team of over 53 virtual assistants, graphic designers, web developers and other various contractors.

Prior to founding Virtual Elves, I managed large teams and implemented front office processes and customer service training for private hospitals and 5-star hotels. I am a mother of two teenagers, and live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with my husband and family.


My Expertise

Outsourcing Education

I have been outsourcing now for over 13 years and have a depth of knowledge particularly in the offshore space and using freelancer sites.


Managing virtual and remote teams

I have been managing teams in general since I was 19 (over 30 years) and running food and beverage departments in 5 star hotels all the way through to running teams of over 120 admin staff in private hospitals. Now with Virtual Elves for the last 13 years our team of over 52 virtual assistants all around the world support the education and tips I am able to pass on to other business owners.


Building systems, automations and processes in your business

Through my hotel management training I have always been an advocate for good planning and good training, and ultimately making everything you do a simpler process. If you spend the time and do it right the first tine, it makes it sustainable in the long term.


Customer service

I LOVE people and building relationships with people. For me it’s ALL about customer expectations and going over and above and my 30 + years of experience (I was running clothing shops and staff at Paddy’s markets from the age of 14) really adds value to the 1:1 business advisory consultations I offer in helping people identify the core activities that will do this for their business.



My Passions

Small Business

I love helping small business owners to create space. I love the feeling when they tell me there is a weight off their shoulders after getting help. I love making life simpler for people and as a good listener I really feel my superpower is being able to hear what’s really going on for them and then offer real actions to solve their problems.

Water & Sun

I am like a plant. I love the water, sun and fresh air. I feel energised and centred when I am near the beach or water. It’s like another part of me opens up.

Being Creative

For as long as I can remember I have done creative work. From Drama and languages at school, to starting a wedding invitations and accessories business, to making custom hand designed baby clothing and handbags. Even now I find the time to crochet while sitting in front of the TV at night. I feel lost without the ability to create.

My Interests

I am interested in AFL. I currently run a local Junior AFL club and I love the way I can bring a community together and support the kids enjoying their sport.

I love travel but really don’t do enough of it. It’s on my list of things to improve on this year!


How I Can Help Other Members

I am interested in helping members to connect with their why and then delegate everything else! I can help them to identify what they are currently doing, simplify their processes, build systems to make what they do easier and help them to get the support they need.


I am also a great connector and love to chat and support.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

I joined because I was craving a safe haven again and needed an injection of energy and like-minded support. I want to boost my learning and be inspired by others to help me reinvigorate the business and grow myself as a leader again.
