About Me - My Biography

Karina Santolin is the Director of Client Services at Skeda IT, Sydney.Skeda IT works business to business across a variety of sectors since 2000 and has assisted many start up businesses to reign in their IT spend and plan their IT investment strategy.

My Expertise

Listening…My strength is dealing with people in a positive and professional manner. Stopping to really listen and understand where they are at enables me to provide the help required. I enjoy seeing people comfortable with their decision to engage my business. Working alongside client businesses to form part of their future strategy, as IT is often core to businesses delivering on their strategies.

My Passions

Customer Service – not a cliche! How many times do we walk into a situation hoping for good service only to be disappointed (again!). Gender Diversity in Business – empowerment of people to know their worth is not gender specific.

My Interests

Apart of my business, my personal interests include: Reading – love a variety of books, Good Food – with good company, Outdoors – with 3 children this is high on the weekend agenda, V8 Supercars and F1 motor sport and live theatre, which I don’t see enough of due to time.

How I Can Help Other Members

By assisting them to understand their IT spend as part of their core business plan. Planning and maintenance are the key to keeping control for both start ups and mature businesses that are looking forward on how IT spend can be more of a known, planned expenditure rather than a mysterious and sometimes bottomless bucket.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

Various reasons – the ABN provides a wealth of information and opportunities for knowledge growth. I like that the ABN are advocates for women in business in Australia, wanting to support other business women who are just as passionate about their business.
