About Me - My Biography

I love helping people attain the lives they want through learning and work. For the last 3 years I have been empowering regional women who want to have a fulfilling career to find the career that is right for them.  I have done this with 1:1 career counselling and enterprise skills coaching, plus workshops and webinars for groups.  Previous to starting my business I worked in Vocational Education as a Librarian/Information Specialist, eLearning Technology Mentor and other Project Management roles. In that time I ran workshops for students around digital literacy and employability skills.  I also wrote and supported friends and family, other staff members and sometimes students in applying for the jobs they aspired to.

Now I have started my own business empowering regional people through Career Development. Our service (Expand Careers Consulting) will enable those who are geographically isolated or those who need the convenience of online access to talk to an expert and professional Career Coach.

We help customers explore their interests, values, past experience and more, sometimes using Career Assessments such as DISC Profiles and Strong Interest Inventory to facilitate their self-knowledge.  Once they have self-self knowledge we match that to a number of career areas.  We then help them make decisions and plan towards the career that is right for them.  Other services we offer are: Coaching and mentoring in work skills, Building a Professional Online Profile and Writing winning Job Applications.
