My Connection Statement

Pivot Point Australia provides high-quality digital education resources for TAFE colleges and private Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that deliver accredited qualifications in Hairdressing and Barbering.

We assist schools to improve student retention and increase completion rates through the distribution of tested and trusted student and educator digital resources, which schools access via our own LMS or directly on their LMS via a secure LTI connection.

We serve the broader hairdressing and barbering industry via our industry workshops, education content and ethically sourced and manufactured mannequin heads.

About Me - My Biography

Jane is the CEO of Pivot Point Australia, the sole distributer for Pivot Point education and hair goods in Australia and New Zealand.

Jane background is in the hairdressing industry and vocational education. She is a hairdresser by trade, and has 15 years teaching experience. Jane has managed teaching teams and held senior roles in large TAFE colleges and private registered training organisations where she has been responsible for education quality, business development and student welfare. She loves the dynamic and creative nature of hairdressing and is passionate about education and its ability to transform lives.

In her current role, Jane has overseen the transformation of the Pivot Point brand in Australia from an education and textbook publisher to a digital content company, ensuring quality education is both accessible and relevant to today’s learners.

My Expertise

I have 25 years experience in the hairdressing industry and 15 years experience in vocational education.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in Adult and Vocational Education and a Certificate IV in Hairdressing (Advanced). I have experience in the TAFE, University and private education sectors.

I am passionate about education and lifelong learning, and put this in to practice in my own life. I hold an Honours degree in International Politics and a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing.

My Passions

I am passionate about education, and particularly education that offers opportunities to change your life. I believe that accessible education is one of the key ways we create a more equitable society and help people to reach their full potential and pursue the life they want.

 

My Interests

I love to travel. I love getting on a plane and heading to a new city or destination.

When I’m not travelling, I love to read. I’m always open to book recommendations and love nothing more than a good book, a glass of red and an open fire!

My goal for this year is to complete my full diving licence
