With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, James Stevens has combined a detailed understanding of finance and business, with a passion for branding and marketing, to create an Australian leading etailer in Roses Only.

James has over 30 years’ experience in business. Beginning in his family’s florist shop located in Town Hall, James recognised an opportunity to provide a differentiated service and began Roses Only in 1995. Since the beginning, boxed long stem roses have been the company’s signature product and ‘wow’ factor, helping account for the positive growth of the business.

He has led brand extensions within the Roses Only business, with the launch of Fruit Only, Hampers Only and Wine Only. James’ instincts as a marketer have also seen the Roses Only business platform expand into New Zealand, the UK and Singapore.

James has held various community and business related positions including  President of the Entrepreneurs Organisation in Sydney in 2006/07, President of the Leukaemia Foundation of NSW for almost seven years and is still involved with the Leukaemia Foundation of Australia. He is also a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Business at the University of NSW and a member of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of New South Wales.
