Co-founder and CEO of Culturally Directed Care Solutions (CDCS)

We serve Aged Care providers in rural, regional and remote Australia who struggle with compliance and capacity to build and maintain quality services for older people because we believe that older people deserve quality care that is safe and right for them, no matter where they live.

We help by delivering tailored support through consulting, resources and training 

via direct contracts, government panels and our membership program. 

We specialise in assisting Aged Care services to enhance their knowledge and skills, ensuring they can provide Quality Care with Confidence.

Our approach involves tailoring the right tools, training, and support to empower management & teams. 

Developing practical Policies, Procedures and related tools that not only help organisations achieve compliance – they are sensible and genuinely support what they do.

Originally hailing from Alice Springs and now residing in Regional North East Victoria, I find inspiration in the diversity, strengths, challenges, opportunities, and benefits of rural, regional, and remote communities. I believe fundamental principles of engagement, being genuine, present, observant and respectful, go a long way.

I enjoy the challenges of working alongside organisations, their people and consumers of their services to improve the way they work – ensuring that staff and management are connected and accountability and productivity are improved for happier, healthier and sustainable services and subsequently stronger communities.

• 25+ years’ experience working across primary health, aged care, disability services, mental health, substance misuse and youth sectors.
• Specialist skill sets in organisation review, risk management, accreditation compliance, policy development, business development and governance.
• Member of the Commonwealth Departments’ Sector Reference Group, which developed the new National Aged Care Standards.
• I am passionate about being a change agent and an advocate for practical and real outcomes for services and people in regional, rural and remote areas.
