I create memorable holiday packages for over 55s and retirees who want to travel within the Australia/New Zealand travel bubble. I offer all-inclusive travel packages and group tour experiences, with the benefit of one point of contact for all holiday plans via phone or online.

About Me - My Biography

Charmaine Edwards. I grow up in New Zealand, and when I was 17, the family moved to Australia. I got my first job in Sydney in the accounts departments for seven years. I married an Australian, Then spent 13 years at home bringing up our three sons. Before joining the family travel business, I worked there for ten years out of the 30 years before its sale (my parents finally retired).  Five years ago, I started up a similar business.

My sons, now are 25, 27 and 31, now enjoys travelling the world. (Two are now married).  (I am proud of them and my husband, they are all members of the Rural Fire Service and involved in some sports and community associations).

My Passions

I am committed and passionate about what I do and love working with people and getting them the most amazing experiences out of their travel. I always seek feedback from my groups on their return and take onboard even the smallest of detail, and this ensures my clients that I have their interests at heart and is part of my repeat business success.  

I fix that the rare, unexpected problem’s when they arise, such as the need to change an itinerary on a Sunday when the road to Milford Sound in New Zealand was closed because of heavy snow.

I needed to find a way to get two different groups, new accommodation in Queenstown when the town was packed. Changing bookings like that is no mean feat, but it is possible due to the respect and closeness with all my suppliers and operators in New Zealand. One went from a Park to a 4-star hotel, and the other group went from a 3-star hotel to a 5 star for no extra cost. That is why you want someone that goes above in building their relationships.

 I understand the many issues teachers and parents need to address to organise a smooth and seamless tour. I have managed 100’s tour groups and know how to work through their needs and what makes a good tour happen.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

I became HerBusiness Member because; I thought it would be good for me and my business. As I work at home for myself I don’t get to talk to others or get out.

So to get the opportunity to meet other women and learn about and better my business it was a no brainer.

You go as the Tour Leader – get the group, money and look after the group on the ground.
