My Connection Statement

I am a Naturopath and Kinesiologist and I work with women in their mid-stage of life to help them embrace the changes that are happening in their body and life.  I do this with personalised health and lifestyle programs and transformational retreats.  My clients are able to tap into their inner wisdom and live the life of their dreams as they embrace their journey of mid-life and all that it brings.

About Me - My Biography

For many women the thought of menopause scares them but it is my mission to educate women on the magic of menopause and to support them as they transition through their peri-menopause to menopause stage of life.

As a naturopath for the past 16 years I have worked with many women to help them look and feel great and about 8 years ago I realised that there was something missing – the emotional aspect of healing.  This lead me to add kinesiology to my toolkit to help women. I offer a holistic solution to some common symptoms that women experience as they grow older.

Every woman’s journey through peri-menopause and beyond is different this means that there is no single solution that will help everyone.  I create a personalised health and lifestyle plan which is designed to take women on their own journey to embracing their inner wisdom.

I love working with women and being their guide as they discover themselves and create the life of their dreams.

As well as being a naturopath and kinesiologist I am also the author of a book called Secret Mums Business, a Speaker, Women’s Circle Space Holder and Retreat Facilitator.  I am currently learning more about shamanic healing and love sharing the healing magic of my medicine drum with women.

My Expertise

Apart from being a qualified naturopath, kinesiologist and mindset coach I also have the following skills:

– I was a Business and IT Project Manager in my corporate life

– I find most technology easy

– I love creating systems to do things easier

– I love speaking and sharing my knowledge

– I have a broad range of marketing skills and I provide business building mentoring services to other natural health practitioners

– I have written one book (which went to #1 on Amazon) and have a second one in the planning stages

– I used to be a women’s gymnastics coach but I am not sure I have the flexibility to do this anymore ;-)

I am happy to provide support in any of the above areas where I can.

My Passions

I am passionate about sharing the message that menopause is not something to be feared because it is a beautiful time of life when women have the opportunity to step into their greatest wisdom.

I love spending time in nature, any problem can be solved when you go into nature and enjoy the silence

I love walking and hiking and currently I am in training to do Tour Du Mt Blanc in Europe in September 2020

I spend my downtime reading crime novels and watching crime television

To quieten my mind I meditate and do yoga

My kids have been my passion for many years but now as they grow older and are independent I am switching that passion to myself, my business and my hiking.

My Interests

Anything around health and living a great life gets me interested.  I have bookshelves full of books on different health and wellbeing topics, from the ancient herbs used by Australian Aborigines to books on Shamanic Medicine.

At the moment I have a real interest in discovering more about traditional healing practices and I am doing some Shamanic healing courses.  I do not want to be known as a Shamanic healing rather I am having fun learning.  I particularly love leading women in circle through a journey meditation with my medicine drum.

I have had a renewed interest in doing lots of different arts and crafts and recently discovered Zentangle and Mandala Drawing both as a form of mindful doodling.  I love sharing my various arts and crafts on my instagram page.

Nature is my happy place and I am particularly happy when I am doing a bushwalk.  I am currently training to be able to do the Tour Du Mt Blanc in Europe in September 2020.  This will require a lot of hill and rock climbing and getting strong.

My downtime is spent reading, I generally have at least 3 books on the go at one time.  I love crime novels (and crime tv) and occasionally add a bit of romance to the mix as well.  I have a few hundred books (many unread) on my kindle but I love the feel of a real book.

How I Can Help Other Members

I am always available to be a sounding board for new ideas.  I will happily hold space for any member who is looking for someone to sit and listen to them.

As a kinesiologist I can help other members clear limiting beliefs that they might have around their ability to be successful, make money or grow their business.  We have so many beliefs around what it takes to be successful in life, particularly as women, these beliefs can block us from taking the actions that we want to take.

I am also happy to assist any member who is struggling with their health, particularly related to hormones and menopause, so they feel better and are able to be their best to serve their customers.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

I have spent the past couple of years chasing my tail and not getting very far with my business.  I have had a few stops and starts due to family reasons but I have made a decision that I will focus on my business for the next 12 months and put everything I can into it.  If at the end of 12 months I have not created what I wanted then I am happy to walk away from it all.

Because I have a habit of procrastinating and being distracted I have joined Her Business to get accountability and support.  I am also looking to meet other women and to be a part of a strong community.
