About Me - My Biography

I am a passionate advocate for children’s mental health and wellbeing and the founder of Yoga Seeds, an organisation that focuses on teaching self awareness & resilience through movement, breath & personal development to children, adolescents & theri caregiver’s.

As a budding young actress, yet anxious & self doubting 17 year old, I was introduced to the practice of Yoga whilst studying at Drama School. The very first class had a profound impact on my physical & mental wellbeing & I was immediately hooked by the non competitive, calming, yet empowering nature of the practice. It held the key to easing anxiety, building genuine confidence & deepening my understanding my mind and body during this pivotal time.
 
Whilst I still dabbles in the acting world, it is in teaching kids to shine through the use of various empowerment tools where my heart lies.

Over the past 10 years I have completed multiple Yoga & Meditation Teacher trainings with Power Living Yoga, The Biomedical Institute of Yoga, and both the Kadampa & Vipassana Meditation Centre’s.I am a Level 2 Wellness Coach (Wellness Coaching Australia), and a qualified Children’s Yoga Teacher, having completed multiple children’s yoga trainings through Zenergy Yoga Therapy, Rainbow Kids & Inspired Kids Yoga for schools. I am also the Chief QLD facilitator of Yellow Lantern Public Speaking for Children, and extremely passionate about teaching children and youth the skills they need to speak up, step up and thrive.

I have a Diploma of Performing Arts, a Cert 3 and 4 Master Trainer from the Australian Institute of Fitness an un relenting passion for mental health and physical well being. I have extensive experience with children from all backgrounds annd am a busy Mum of two teenage children. voluntary capacity as a ‘Pyjama Angel’ for the Pyjama Foundation – an organisation dedicated to improve the lives and outcomes of children in foster care.

I also have the privilege of developing and facilitating the wellness component of the Federal Government’s DFAT Australia Awards Women’s Leadership Program for future women leaders of the pacific.

I have found a way to combine my passions for physical health, mental well being, performance and personal development to create dynamic, playful & interactive programs designed to help children & teens realise their potential and power.
