About Me - My Biography
As Director of Heart Content, Amey helps her clients both large and small to build compelling brand stories, create clever content strategies and produce tailored content that speaks to their unique audience.
With a career in the communications industry that spans more than ten years, Amey is an integrated communications specialist. In her role as a producer, she worked with clients to create some of the first branded content in Australia. Whilst at the BBC in London, she was part of a team that delivered a multi-platform environmental learning campaign throughout the U.K. and broke a world record in the process.
She’s worked in everything from Public Relations, Film and Television production and Event Management, to Advertising, Brand Management, Digital and for a little while, even Video Games.
Amey’s creative brain can turn out winning ideas and brilliant copy, whilst her strategic half is an expert in finding your difference, establishing your value, identifying your audience and translating these ideas into tangible goals that help to grow your business. She knows what makes good content and believes that it starts with the right brand story.
Amey was the little girl who always asked “Why?” and never stopped. She’ll ask the “Why” about your business and help you turn it into a meaningful brand and inspiring content that truly connects with your customers.

The loves of my life (apart from my hubby, daughter and puppy dog) are writing and reading. I believe in the power of words to inspire, educate and create action and change in people.
In addition to being passionate about all things brand story and content, I love networking with and supporting other women in business.
I’m also a lifelong learner and am passionate about building my skills across a huge range of topics.
Marketing, food, wine, reading, writing, films, history (especially Ancient Egypt), travelling and networking with interesting people.
And of course my family (including my tiny human Matilda).

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member
HerBusiness is one of my most valuable business resources. Because I’m a solopreneur, it’s easy to become very isolated, but getting out to HerBusiness events, like the Roundtables and even participating in webinars makes me feel connected to a massive team of supporters who all want me to succeed in my business.
I’m here to learn, to share and to grow amongst a group of like-minded, passionate and fabulous women.
