About the award winning HerBusiness Mentoring Program
HerBusiness has run mentoring programs for women since 1998.
In 2006 the Australian Government funded the development of MentorNet – a six-month online mentoring program. The program, which covered training in areas like:
- Effective sales and marketing strategies
- Financial planning and managing profitability
- Growth and performance strategies
- Ongoing peer support and mentoring to drive action
Partners mentorees with mentors who worked together over a number of mentoring sessions delivered between training sessions. By the end of the program, mentorees had a detailed business plan incorporating marketing, operations and financial plans and the know-how to make it happen!
This program was awarded the best online mentoring program in the 2010 LearnX training industry awards.
The program evolved to the current HerBusiness mentoring program in 2014. Today the program continues to support small-business owners who want the support of a mentor to grow their business.
