The mentoring relationship will be more efficient and more impactful when you spend some time preparing for and thinking about important things: where you have come from, where you are now, what the Diagnostic tells you about your skills/experience, the stories you can your share to reflect why you are in business.

Supercharging Each Mentoring Session

  • Review your notes from the previous session
  • Think about the most important topic you would like to work on in the session and come to your session prepared and clear about the area
  • Set a goal or key outcome for the session
  • Establish a suitable environment for your session – free from background noise, disconnect from email/text, away from people who may overhear your conversation
  • Log into Zoom a couple of minutes before the session commences and test your equipment
  • Put your key learnings in writing
  • Schedule your follow-up actions in your calendar
