Introduction

This Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines for the ethical and professional conduct of all participants in the HerBusiness Mentoring Program.

Purpose

The Mentoree acknowledges and understands the objectives of the HerBusiness Mentoring Program and agrees to participate in the Program in a thorough, diligent, efficient and professional fashion with the utmost good faith towards and in the best interests of HerBusiness, the Mentors, themselves and their business.

As a participant in the HerBusiness Mentoring Program, you agree to:


  • Take responsibility and be accountable for my decisions and actions
  • Complete and honour my agreements
    • Only make agreements that you are willing and intend to keep
    • Have integrity and reliability — do as you say you will do
    • Communicate any potentially broken agreements at the first appropriate opportunity
    • Clear up any broken agreement with the relevant person as soon as possible.
  • Be punctual for all arranged meetings
  • Give up the need to be right and focus on results
  • Avoid gossip. Speak with good intentions
  • Not under any circumstances attempt to sell products or services to profit in any way from the relationship
  • Use appropriate language at all times and be respectful of others and their situations
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and be aware of professional boundaries between yourself and HerBusiness employees, members, mentors and other mentorees
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information received in the course of my mentor relationship
  • Comply at all times with this code in both letter and spirit
