About Me - My Biography

Katie is one of Australia's most prominent entrepreneurs and environmental spokes women. She holds a bachelor of Environmental and Civil Engineering from RMIT and began her career as an environmental project manager for commercial and residential construction projects at APP and a sustainable design engineer at Lincolne Scott. She founded Green Pages at age 25, just over three years ago, from her bedroom in Sydney and quickly grew the company to become Australia's leading green media company employing over 15 people. Katie has been extensively involved in the debate that defines 'what is green' and 'greenwashing' and has written the world's first green criteria that spans over 400 industry categories that define what can and can't be listed in the Green Pages. She sits on the board of the national eco-label, Good Environmental Choice Australia. She recently won the Cosmpolitan Woman of the Year Award, 30-under-30 Antill Young Entrepeneaur Award, Smart Company Young Entrepeaur and has been nominated for both an Instyle Magazine 'Woman of Style' Award, Telstra Business Women Award and a Cool Company Award. Katie is a regular media commentator and popular public speaker on environmental business issues and was the first environmental CEO to be featured on the front cover of Business Review Weekly. She has a fundamental objective to grow the green economy by providing digital media products that are fun, innovative, informative and inspire people to purchase green products, furthering the concept of "green" as a landmark brand, an aspirational lifestyle and a new cultural movement.
