My Connection Statement

I help project managers and SME owners build their leadership skills and confidence through my five week online Leadership Essentials Programme and in person.

About Me - My Biography

I have been working as a change manager and leadership consultant since 1997.  I established my own business in early 2000 and work with managers and teams to help them create sustainable change and  develop leadership capabilities.

Over the years I have developed and delivered a range of change and leadership workshops for all sorts of organisations.  In 2018 I launched an online leadership development programme for SME owners and managers because I know how difficult it can be to access targeted training when you are not part of a large organisation.  I know so many SME owners and managers are technically brilliant but struggling every day with the people leadership issues, particularly as their businesses grow.

When I’m not working with clients or trying to wrangle Facebook ads I love being at our farm outside Melbourne or traveling.

My Expertise

I really love working with leaders and teams and that’s where my expertise lies.  I am a great communicator and facilitator and help people motivate and build trust with their team members by building their own self awareness and leadership skills.  I have a B.Comm and an MBA from the University of Melbourne.

My Passions

Great leadership is my passion.  It has the potential to change the world and we all know it when we see it.  The challenge for many people is that they don’t know what’s required and I think this is particularly true of SME owners and managers who don’t have access to the leadership development that their peers in large organisations receive as a matter of course.  Often their teams have grown organically and the people leadership issues can be demoralising for managers  who are used to being very technically competent.  I believe that people leave managers, not jobs and, if we can build the leadership skills of managers everybody wins.

My Interests

Outside of work, I grow roses on our farm outside Melbourne and have recently done an upholstery course so I am working my way through our old furniture.

We have a young daughter who is wonderful, often very good company and challenges me to be my best.

My husband and I also have a not for profit residential college we set up and now run for university students who have come from the country or interstate/overseas and know no one in Melbourne.   We accommodate them in six houses around Fitzroy and help to create a community for them, with dinners together each weeknight, mentors, tutoring and lots of social outings around Melbourne.   We are in the process of establishing a cafe where the students can gain experience in every facet of the promotion and running of the business.
