After much consultation with former colleagues and qualified close friends to meet a need for a reliable, accurate, confidential, secure and timely delivery of transcription services at economically based pricing, Transcription Cooke was born. Our founder and Chief Publishing Officer (CPO), Debbie Cooke, has over forty years’ experience in braille transcription and alternative communication services. The business has developed through the CPO’s love of communication, study and music, whilst encountering limited, competitive, competent services, in her pursuit of a career path and previous studies at university level. Debbie, an Australian, has compared available services whilst broadening her knowledge-base through educational programmes, networking, travelling to various Continents and living in the UK. Spanning over thirty years, Debbie has worked for private companies including family businesses, the Government, and NGOs, often involving the transcription of confidential and sensitive materials. Realising the benefits of seeking wise counsel along with obtaining a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Management and Human Resources Management (HRM), will ensure the longevity of Transcription Cooke today and into the future.
