About Me - My Biography
Women on Boards is a national program to improve the gender balance on Australian company boards. It has 8,000 professional women in its network from all sectors and industries looking for board roles on not-for-profit, government, private and public companies. More than 60 per cent already sit on boards.Executive Director, Claire Braund, co-founded Women on Boards with professional NED Ruth Medd. She is an experienced director in the SME sector and has significant expertise in media, public relations and Internet businesses.Prior to setting up her businesses Claire worked as a journalist on regional and city newspapers and in management roles in the beef and cotton industries.Claire Braund was a director of the Foundation for Australian Agricultural Women for eight years and is a graduate of the Sydney Leadership Program.
