My Expertise

My expertise lies in communicating through writing and speaking, and teaching adults.

I have been writing as an artistic skill since I was twelve, telling my mother that I was going to write books. She did not say Oh, great! and she didn’t say, You’ll never do it, either, but from that time I regularly wrote in my diary and produced some good work at my school.

After school, life led me to become a nun and be trained as a teacher of children; neither of which actually suited me and so I left, still not knowing where my ultimate strength lay. My emotionsl life was in turmoil, as it had been since I was a very small child, really, and life would now lead me to make another choice, this time to explore my sexuality as a sex worker. This choice, as was the choice to enter a convent and make a vow of chastity, was an expression of the inner sexual confusion caused by early childhood sexual abuse.

My entire life story, frankly exposed in my memoir, God’s Callgirl, has been a search for healing from that abuse, with an intense desire for spiritual truth fuelling all of it. I threw myself into life to experience first-hand what worked and what did not work in the healing fields, and in religious and spiritual beliefs. I grew up and out of the limitations of my past, by plumbing the depths of all that could be emotionally experienced as a result of abuse. I can now say that I understand the nature of abuse, the deep and lasting imprints of this. I can say that I understand perpetrators and the deep self-loathing under their pretences. I can also say that I understand what are the principles of healing – what works and does not work, and why survivors keep on struggling for so long in spite of years of therapy.

I am 77 now and have some years to come, where I want to put my expertise to good use.

My Passions

As a Scorpio with Venus in the Seventh House, I am naturally a passionate person, and naturally interested in sexuality.

It has taken me many years to put sexuality in its proper place, so to speak, which means that I don’t think it’s the most important energy in the world. The love of the heart is by far more important, and the passion to live love from the heart has taken over from sexual passion for me. Mind you, sex dominated centre stage for decades in my life. One of my books, Desire, also called The Price of Passion, epitomises sexual passion. Enough said about that, except maybe to add that as a prostitute it enabled me to enjoy the sex instead of thinking of it too much as a job.

Understanding love is not an easy thing to do. The Universe is Love, and how can all that happens in the Universe be reconciled with that? It took a long time for me to feel into the truths of things.

And so my current passion is to feel the truth and to live it, be true to it. Truth to me is everything and without it I have nothing: the truth of who I am as a person and as a spiritual being. The truth of love. The truth of the laws of the Universe, the truth of the various Beings of Light that govern aspects of this Universe and can be communicated with. Truth is my passion, and it sets me free from the limitations and self-imposed conditioning of my past.

My Interests

Gardening must be my Interest No 1, especially the growing of roses and a riot of colours.

I love companionship, which is strange, since I live alone. If I had a companion, I would indulge my interest in good movies quite a bit more than I do at present.

Reading books is an utter indulgence to me…

Just love getting lost in TV drama, especially innocent ones like Father Brown and Death in Paradise. As a girl, I devoured all the Father Brown books.

Metaphysics…that should be more up there, really. I study metaphysics passionately because of my passion for truth. Much more interesting and rewarding than theology, in my experience. Each to their own, and this leads me to another interest: Letting others be who they are. Allowingness I call it.

I have a lively interest in good health in older age; making sure that what was set in motion in early childhood, eg intestinal trouble, would not persist to cause problems. This has resulted in an passionate interest in high-quality Essential Oils and als in Crystals because of their ability to support health and healing.

Lastly, I am interested in what is new and evolving in the world, especially what might be afoot to create peace and wellbeing in the world, and what we, as people on earth, are doing to create a future world that is habitable for our children and grandchildren…

How I Can Help Other Members

Healing from abuse is my utmost expertise. If somehow I can be of service to other members via my book and online support program, I would be very much open to that.

What I would hope for in return is some assistance in my office. I am limited in my ability to navigate the computer and certain software, and my brain is not geared to tasks that are not creative.

I am open to exchange and would provide Listening, Coaching and Participation in my Program, and the gift of my books.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

Connectedness is one of my main values. I joined to become connected to other women who have flair and ambition. Women who have courage and also love collaborating with others. Women who generously share their expertise and know how to offer it in paid courses that are of immense value.

I hope to find answers to questions, support for what I want to achieve, because I am finding that the technicalities are extremely demanding of me.

Knowledge can prevent a lot of heartache and hard lessons, and I joined to avoid the latter. I am starting a new career at the age of 77, and want to do it right!

Counsellors and Therapists who qualify for this work, which includes an openness to the spiritual nature of their clients, would gain exposure via my website and via recommendations from clients placed there.
