About Me - My Biography

I am the owner of a company, Graphika.

Graphika was established 13 years ago and now employs a team that delivers high-end graphic design and web design services to professional service based businesses and Government departments.

I have been a graphic designer for 23 years and my career began working in a graphic design studio in Newcastle. After seven years I moved into a role as a Senior Designer for a leading advertising agency. I realised the pressure of working long hours in an agency and having two children at the time was not making me happy…. so, Graphika was born to give me flexibility around my family!

Graphika is now a well established business that works with clients locally, nationally and internationally.

My role is to lead my team so Graphika can continue to grow.

My Expertise

I graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Design (Graphic) and began working in a design studio.

After 23 years of working in the design industry, my expertise is definitely in my attention to detail and corporate style when it comes to graphic design and brand. I also understand the diversity and style of brands and work well to a brief.

My expertise also expands to speaking up and being a voice for small business owners.

Not so long along I was invited to Parliament House, Canberra to sit a Roundtable discussion with Scott Morrison (ScoMo),  Senator Michaelia Cash and an amazing group of influential people.

I was one of four Small Business Owners that had a chance to be the voice for small business in the country  and the challenges we face.

My one little voice sparked an initiative to develop tools and platforms for small business owners to give them the support they deserve.

I also am the Vice President of a local networking organisation where I lead a team and the culture of the group.

My Passions

My passions outside of work are my husband and children. My husband is my best friend and my kids are my life. I love that my business gives me the flexibility to be there for them…oh, and also my beautiful new puppy, Alfie.

I also have a passion for fitness and keeping healthy. I believe that if you can’t be the best version of yourself then you can’t be that person to anyone else either. When I look after myself I am a better person for my family and within my business.

My passion is my business is working on logos and brands and any print-based design work.

My Interests

Running, fitness, coffee, self-development, my kids sports – soccer and gymnastics.
