Peter Johnston (PJ)

PJ is Director of HerBusiness. Alongside CEO Suzi Dafnis, he’s spent 30+ years in business — and more than 15 of those years mentoring women business owners as they grow.

He facilitates The Boardroom at HerBusiness: a private mentoring group for women running 7 and 8-figure businesses. His role isn’t to have all the answers — it’s to ask the sharper questions, keep the room focused on what actually moves the needle, and help each member think clearly about strategy, money, people, and leadership.

Before HerBusiness, PJ co-founded Pow Wow Events with Suzi. Together they built the company — alongside their Rich Dad seminar business — into an eight-figure company with 45 staff, publishing Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad series across Australia and New Zealand and working directly with Robert and his team.

Alongside HerBusiness, PJ has run a private commercial property investment company he and Suzi founded to acquire, develop, and manage office and light-industrial property. The strategic and financial decisions he mentors on aren’t theory; they’re the same ones he makes in his own business every week.

He’s not an accountant, and he’ll tell you so. He’s a business strategist who believes that when you understand your numbers, you stop reacting and start leading — and that the financial side of a business is best learned in plain English, without shame or condescension.

He’s the person in the room who makes the numbers make sense.
