About me

My work is trust, signal interpretation, and institutional coherence—where they build and where they break. It focuses on the moments when familiar systems stop making sense—periods of fracture, accelerated change, cultural instability, or leadership transition where confidence erodes and old playbooks no longer serve. I help leaders and organizations detect what is shifting beneath the surface before misalignment becomes crisis. work lives beneath visible strategy, where emotional reality, human behavior, and trust collide. I partner with CEOs, founders, executive teams, and complex institutions to navigate uncertainty, transformation, and the growing gap between operational performance and human coherence.Through SGNL, I work with organizations to interpret emerging signals, rebuild trust, strengthen relational intelligence, and design systems built to withstand pressure. My clients have included Nike, Starbucks, Pinterest, Virgin Brands, Juul Labs, and WeWork. In 2018, I helped guide Starbucks through a system-wide response following a racially charged incident in Philadelphia, contributing to a trust-repair effort that reached more than 175,000 employees across 8,000stores. That experience reinforced something I now believe deeply: trust is not declared, it is revealed by how systems respond under strain. Alongside my institutional work, I developed intrinsic wayfinding—a personal practice devoted to rebuilding self-trust and strengthening discernment during periods of personal and collective transition. I’m currently writing THE FRAY, a book exploring how individuals and institutions learn to read and metabolize signals so trust can prosper. Increasingly, my work asks a central question: how do we remain human and coherent as the systems around us evolve faster than we can metabolize them? I live on the Northern California coast, where proximity to nature, community, and sanctuary helps keep my own compass calibrated.
